No matter how many times you\u2019ve read or seen it, you always find something new when you look at it again. The book you read as a teenager that you find new meaning in as an adult. The movie or TV show that takes you back to a certain time in your life. The authors you can\u2019t wait to read. This week we wanted to let you know some of <strong><em>our favorites \u2026<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Amanda G., Circulation<\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Elin Hilderbrand<\/strong> is one of my favorite authors at the moment. Lately I\u2019ve found myself wanting something a bit lighter and fun to read, and her novels fill the bill. <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/search?query=Summer%20of%20%2769\">Summer of \u201969<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>and <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/search?query=The%20Identicals\">The Identicals<\/a><\/em><\/strong> are two of my recent favorites. <strong><em>Available on Libby <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Mary G., Children\u2019s<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 One of my all-time favorite books is <strong><em>The Poisonwood Bible<\/em><\/strong> by Barbara Kingsolver. It is about a missionary and his four daughters who travel to Africa in 1959. Well written and great for anyone who likes historical fiction. <strong><em>Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/search?query=The%20Poisonwood%20Bible\">Libby<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopladigital.com\/title\/13325008\">Hoopla<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Linda G., Circulation<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 I love <strong><em>A Tree Grows in Brooklyn<\/em><\/strong><em> by Betty Smith. <\/em>It\u2019s a novel about a young girl and her family growing up in an impoverished Brooklyn neighborhood in the early part of the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century \u2013 the same neighborhood where I grew up. Each time I read it, I have a new insight into the human condition.<em> <strong>Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/search?query=A%20Tree%20Grows%20in%20Brooklyn\">Libby<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopladigital.com\/search?scope=everything&amp;q=A%20Tree%20Grows%20in%20Brooklyn\">Hoopla<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Kristin G., Circulation<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 I love mysteries, and two of my favorite series are the <strong><em> Hannah Swensen<\/em><\/strong> series by Joanna Fluke and the <strong><em>Agatha Raisin<\/em><\/strong> series by M.C. Beaton. Both authors are perfect for a cozy day at home. <strong><em>Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/\">Libby<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopladigital.com\/browse\/audiobook\/popular?page=1\">Hoopla<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Victoria C., Reference<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 <strong>Bill Bryson<\/strong> is one of my favorite authors, and I have read <strong><em>A Short History of Nearly Everything <\/em><\/strong>several times. From the Big Bang through the beginnings of modern history, Bill takes readers on a fascinating journey, laced with humor. If you have an active mind and are curious about almost everything, you will find this book hard to put down. <strong><em>Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/search?query=A%20Short%20History%20of%20Nearly%20Everything\">Libby<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Stephanie C., Circulation<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 I love all of <strong>Michael Connolly<\/strong>\u2019s detective fiction, but am especially partial to Harry Bosch. Some of my favorites include <strong><em>The Lincoln Lawyer<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Two Kinds of Truth<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>Trunk Music.<\/em><\/strong> Connolly has a new book coming out soon, <strong><em>Fair Warning<\/em><\/strong>, which can be put on hold. All are <strong><em>available on <a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/search?query=Michael%20Connelly\">Libby<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Diane M., Circulation<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Although my favorite authors vary, right now I\u2019m enjoying <strong>James Patterson<\/strong>. His books are fast moving, short chapters (pick-up, put-down) and easy reading, especially the women\u2019s murder club collections. Two of my favorites are <strong><em>1<sup>st<\/sup> to Die<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Chance<\/em><\/strong>. <strong><em>Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/search?query=James%20Patterson\">Libby<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Cheryl K., Reference <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 <strong><em>To Kill a Mockingbird <\/em><\/strong>by Harper Lee is one of my all-time favorite books. It is a gripping, heart-wrenching and remarkable coming-of-age story set in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice. For me, this book works on many levels, as a crime story, as a story of childhood and family, and a portrait of small town life during the early part of the last century. <strong><em>Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/search?query=To%20Kill%20a%20Mockingbird\">Libby<\/a><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Terms of Endearment<\/em><\/strong> is an Oscar-winner that tells the timeless story of the strong bond between a mother and a daughter. Based on a book by <strong>Larry McMurtry<\/strong>, this is one of those rare occasions when I enjoyed the movie more than the book. <strong><em>Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kanopy.com\/product\/terms-endearment\">Kanopy<\/a><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Nancy M., Circulation<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 My favorite author is <strong>Adriana Trigiani<\/strong>. I have read all her books, and am (im)patiently waiting for her to release another. I always say \u201cif you are Italian or Catholic \u2026 you GET her\u201d \u2013 but that doesn\u2019t mean you have to be to enjoy her stories! Some of my favorites are <strong><em>The Shoemaker\u2019s Wife<\/em><\/strong>,<strong><em> Lucia, Lucia<\/em><\/strong>, and the <strong><em>Very Valentine<\/em><\/strong> series. <strong><em>Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/nassau.overdrive.com\/search?query=Adriana%20Trigiani\">Libby<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopladigital.com\/artist\/6923146\">Hoopla<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Alice P., Children\u2019s<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 One of my all-time favorites is Alfred Hitchcock. A few of his movies that I\u2019ve viewed many times include <strong><em>The 39 Steps<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>The Lady Vanishes<\/em><\/strong>. <strong><em>Available on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopladigital.com\/artist\/168986?kindId=7&amp;page=1\">Hoopla<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Genevieve M., Reference<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 <strong><em>Green Book<\/em><\/strong> is a movie I\u2019ve watched several times. It\u2019s a comedy\/drama about two men from entirely different backgrounds that come together on a road trip through the Deep South. Their lasting friendship makes this movie worth watching again.<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Elaine N., Circulation<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 I always go back to the 80\u2019s! <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopladigital.com\/search?page=1&amp;q=80%27s&amp;scope=everything&amp;type=direct\">Hoopla<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>has a great collection including <strong><em>80\u2019s Mixtape <\/em><\/strong>and <strong><em>80\u2019s the Collection<\/em><\/strong>. Energetic, party dance music that I can listen to again and again!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Christine K., Circulation<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 <strong><em>Seinfeld<\/em><\/strong> is a show that I still laugh at. It\u2019s great to put on while working or cooking because it is so familiar. Some of my favorite episodes are \u201cThe Contest\u201d, \u201cThe Doorman\u201d and \u201cThe Chicken Roaster.
