Barbara is a novice artist. \u00a0<\/p>\n
She retired from teaching pre-k to 6th grade students after 35 years- 25 of which she was employed by the New York City Board of Education. \u00a0She often tried to include art in whatever lessons she taught, be it reading , math, science, or social studies. \u00a0It was a way of making lessons fun.<\/p>\n
Interior design is important to her. \u00a0She has spent much time decorating her apartment to suit her taste and create a cozy environment that she calls home.<\/p>\n
Barbara started creating mono prints and collages in October of 2011 as a student of Stephanie Navon Jacobson. \u00a0She uses objects of texture found in nature, discarded items, and recently ribbons of all shapes and sizes.<\/p>\n
