{"id":7293,"date":"2013-08-20T15:27:05","date_gmt":"2013-08-20T19:27:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/?p=7293"},"modified":"2017-07-18T13:40:31","modified_gmt":"2017-07-18T17:40:31","slug":"galina-lampert-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/galina-lampert-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Galina Lampert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>&#8220;Raindrops&#8221; \u00a0<\/em>&#8220;I am Galina Lampert, a freelance artist, member of the National Association of Women Artists, and The Art Students League of New York.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I studied\u00a0graphics, web design, and oil painting<br \/>\nat the School of Visual Arts and the Fashion Institute of Technology.\u00a0 As a member of the Alliance of Queens Artists and a photographer, I participated in a number of exhibits and group shows, including those at the Great Neck Public Library and Queens Mall during the period 1999-2001.\u00a0 Since 2004 I have been attending art classes (oil painting) and\u00a0participating in art shows at The Art Students League of New York and at The Salmagundi Club.\u00a0 From 2003 through 2012, I have exhibited my works at City Island Art Galleries;\u00a0Freeport Recreational Center; The Long Island Museum of Art, History and Carriages;\u00a0The Art Guild of Port Washington; the 8th Annual NOHO NY ArtWalk; and Manhattan Borough President&#8217;s Office;\u00a0Art Gallery at Hudson Guild;\u00a0Sylvia Wald and Po Kim Gallery.<\/p>\n<p>My photographs and oil paintings have been shown at Long Island public libraries including Valley Stream, Rockville Centre, Elmont, Uniondale, Baldwin, Mineola, Bellmore, Freeport, Merrick, Wantagh, East Meadow, Oceanside, Hewlett-Woodmere, Babylon, Levittown and Manhasset.\u00a0 Eight of my photos have been published in the 2010-2013 Calendars of the Town of Hempstead, Long Island.<\/p>\n<p>My goal is to\u00a0create artworks that inspire feelings of happiness, calmness and balance.\u00a0I look for beauty in my creative expression but also uniqueness.\u00a0 While photographing I see objects as a part of my being.\u00a0 each composition conveys my vision of the beauty of nature.\u00a0 My art means to me a world filled with light and bright colors.<\/p>\n<p>For this show, &#8220;Printmaking,&#8221; I made my images using the monotype technique, which is a printing process.\u00a0 I concentrated more on being creative rather than on technical aspects of printmaking.\u00a0 Monotype became a perfect tool for me to explore improvisation.\u00a0 The result is surprising and unpredictable.\u00a0 The uniqueness of monotype is how the applied ink reflects in the print.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelamperts.com\">www.thelamperts.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:galinafut@hotmail.com\">galinafut@hotmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Raindrops&#8221; \u00a0&#8220;I am Galina Lampert, a freelance artist, member of the National Association of Women Artists, and The Art Students League of New York.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":13072,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[21],"tags":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-7293","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-artists"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7293","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=7293"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7293\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":13074,"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/7293\/revisions\/13074"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/13072"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=7293"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=7293"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/manhassetlibrary.org\/site\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=7293"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
