John is a retired New York City art teacher.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He received his BA in Art in 1968 and his MS in Elementary Education in 1971, both from the City College of New York.\u00a0 In May, 1998, he received a Certificate in Photography from Nassau Community College.<\/p>\n
For the past several years, his work has been in numerous Long Island juried exhibits including: African American Museum, B J Spoke Gallery, East Meadow Library, \u00a0Firehouse\u00a0Gallery, fotofoto Gallery, Freeport Memorial Library, Hewlett-Woodmere Library, Long Island Arts Council (including Best in Show, 1998 and 2009, followed by 2 solo shows), \u00a0Long Island Museum (Best in Show 2011), \u00a0Manhasset Library, \u00a0Merrick Library, \u00a0Molloy College Art Gallery,\u00a0 My Studio,\u00a0 Sandel Senior Center, \u00a0Shelter Rock Gallery,\u00a0 the Smithtown Township Arts Council and the Unitarian Universalist.<\/p>\n
