EARLY LITERACY PROGRAM ~ Birth-Age 5 (entering kindergarten in Fall 2020)
Participants will fill in one circle in their booklet each time they read a book. (Color-in or use stickers provided)
When a child reaches 50 books, they will be eligible to pick-up a prize (curbside) at the library and be entered into our end of Summer Reading Raffle on August 14.
Participation Instructions:
- Fill out the online form (preferred) or call the Children’s Room at:
516-627-2300 x301. - We will notify you by email or phone (you choose) when your Welcome Bag is ready for curbside
pick-up. Pick-up will begin on or about Monday, June 29. - The first 50 registrants will receive a special keepsake journal (in your Welcome Bag) to help remember this special time with your child.
- When you complete 50 books, simply attach a photo of your reading log to the Summer Reading Response Form, which will be posted here soon, or mail the photo to us at:

*** Registration in our Early Literacy Summer Reading program will automatically enroll you in our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Books read for Summer Reading 2020 will be counted towards your 1,000 books. ***
