ELEMENTARY PROGRAM ~ Kids entering grades 1 – 6 in Fall 2020
For our school age kids, we’re going to make it super simple this year! All you need to do is go on a reading adventure for 30 minutes a day, five times a week and you’ll be entered in our end of Summer Reading Raffle on August 14.
Participation Instructions:
- Fill out the online form (preferred) or call the Children’s Room at 516-627-2300 x301.
- We will notify you by email or phone (you choose when you sign up) when your Welcome Bag is ready for curbside pick-up. Pick-up will begin on or about Monday, June 29.
- Participants will receive a Reading Calendar in their packet.
- Read 30 minutes a day, 5 days per week*. Color, or place a sticker (provided) in the stars on your calendar each time you read for 15 minutes.
- If you wish to participate in weekly raffles, simply attend one of our Librarian Read Aloud sessions that will be offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday beginning the week of July 20.
(More information on Librarian Read Alouds will be posted here soon) - The Summer Reading Program will end on Sunday, August 9. Completed calendars will ensure you are entered into the end of Summer Reading Raffles. Calendars will be accepted from Monday, August 10 – Friday, August 14 in the following ways:
