Collage Art
I began to apply collage art to urban scenes and other large-scale subjects about 12 years ago. I use wallpaper almost exclusively in my work. I find my inspiration in the many photographs taken on vacation trips.
Each collage starts with a charcoal sketch. Using tracing paper, the sections of the sketch are copied and cut into templates for the various parts of the finished collage. As you can see, this work is extremely detailed. It involves cutting and careful placement of hundreds of tiny pieces of paper.
Isn’t it interesting to see what one can do with a book of wallpaper, a craft knife and a glue stick?
