A visual art lecture by Mary Vahey featuring the international renowned Cone Collection of Modern Art on  loan to The Jewish Museum May 8- Sept. 25, from the Baltimore Museum of Art.

In the early 20th century, Baltimore sisters Claribel and Etta Cone visited the Paris studios of Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso and began assembling one of the world’s most important art collections.  The exhibit features over 45 of these works of art including painting, sculptures and works on paper by Matisse, Picasso, Gauguin, Renoir, Van Gogh and more.  In addition to modern masterpieces, the exhibition includes early 20th century photographs, archival materials, decorative arts, and textiles to highlight the remarkable lives of the Cone sisters.
